In previous blogs, we’ve highlighted some of the digital resources you’re able to access as a Warwickshire Libraries member, from eMagazines to eBooks, information resources such as Encyclopedia Britannica and Who’s Who to accessing classical music via Naxos. Today, we want to tell you about PressReader – a part of our eLibrary that enables you to access newspapers online.
To use Press Reader on your phone or tablet, you’ll need to download the app from the App Store (Apple) or Google Play Store. To use it on a PC or laptop, you’ll need to download Adobe Digital Editions software first. Instructions for all devices are available in our eLibrary or you can email us at email@example.com if you have any questions.
PressReader gives you access to publications from around the world, ensuring you’re kept up to date with all the latest news. You’ll find both English-language newspapers and publications in languages other than English and there are functions available that allow you to read in the original language or to translate text into English (among other languages).
You can also listen to the newspaper of your choice – click on the three black dots in the top right hand corner of the page to find ‘Listen’ functions (you’ll find the ‘Translate’ functions here also). You can likewise change the font size so you can adapt your reading experience to best suit your needs.
